Andrea is a producer working across feature film, television and commercial projects. She has recently completed the sci-fi movie LAST DAYS ON MARS for Universal Pictures / Focus Features / BFI starring Liev Schreiber, Olivia Williams, Romola Garai and Elias Koteas. The film will receive its world premiere in Director’s Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival. Also with producer Michael Kuhn she is currently in pre-production on the film adaptation of SUITE FRANCAISE, to star Michelle Williams, Matthias Schoenaerts and Kristin Scott Thomas. (shooting June 2013).
Other completed projects include MICRO MEN starring Martin Freeman for the BBC (nominated for RTS, Grierson & Broadcast Digital Awards); and the award-winning feature film THE SCOUTING BOOK FOR BOYS directed by Tom Harper for Film4/Pathe. Projects in development include HERE COMES THE SUMMER for Revolver Entertainment / Creative England, and INVENTED EDEN for BBC Films with screenwriter Guy Hibbert.
As producer she has also made the documentaries LESSONS IN ARCHITECTURE (Arts Council of Scotland), and ALIVE (Channel 4) with director Saul Metzstein; and a series of award-winning short films released in UK cinemas for Paramount Comedy and the Sci-Fi Channel. As a line producer she has worked on films including SHE A CHINESE (WarpX / Film4 / UK Film Council, 2010 Winner of the Golden Leopard at Locarno); TRANSIT (MTV International); THE YELLOW HOUSE (Channel 4); MY LIFE AS A POPAT (ITV) and COLOSSEUM (BBC). Other production credits include the features HUMAN TRAFFIC and AN IDEAL HUSBAND.
Andrea also runs the production agency Contented Productions with Jonathan Rawlinson, producing short-form work for brands. From 1999-2004 Andrea worked at the First Film Foundation running schemes including New Directions promoting film talent in London, New York and LA. While at First Film, Andrea wrote two editions of the popular book for new filmmakers First Facts. In 2013 Andrea was nominated as the UK’s Producer on the Move by European Film Promotions. In 2009 she was nominated as one of the British Council’s Young Screen Entrepreneurs of the Year.
