Northern Film and Media’s second annual edition of FILM CLUB will offer a rich and diverse series of artist film screenings and Q&As, together with peer-to-peer networking, through the rest of 2016 and into early 2017.

The programme begins on 24th September with a launch event delivered in partnership with and as part of the Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival (21-25 Sept).

Supported by Arts Council England, FILM CLUB is designed with the intention of expanding audiences, creating networking opportunities, one-to-one professional development sessions and, of course, delivering a fascinating program of artists and their films. To see the full programme click here.

FILM CLUB has been formulated with a consciousness to develop and enrich the cultural platform of moving image and provide emerging and mid career artists with support in this field. We have created opportunities where conversations and workshops with key practitioners may not only give insight into their working methods, concepts and processes but also aid in the professional development of those practicing in the arts.

Registration for the later events will open around a month before each event.

Developmental one-to-one meetings with various participants in FILM CLUB are also available by application as part of the FILM CLUB programme. These are offered in partnership with The NewBridge Project as part of their ‘Practice makes Practice’ programme. Click here for further details.

FILM CLUB is delivered by Northern Film & Media in partnership with Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival, CIRCA Projects, Laing Art Gallery, LUX, Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, The NewBridge Project and Teesside University.
