Michelle Fox lives in Newcastle upon Tyne and has directed and produced numerous short films. In the horror genre, she wrote and directed, Killing Time, commissioned by F4, C4, and All4 for F4’s Frightfest 2015, which also screened at Bristol Brief Encounters; Zominic, which features a zombie baby, commissioned by NFM and C4 for Random Acts - broadcast on Channel 4 and premiered at Frightfest in 2013, which also received a nomination for a ‘best comedy’ award at London Short Film Festival in 2014. In 2009, funded by UKFC and NFM’s digital shorts scheme, her directorial debut was LOW, which premiered at Aesthetica Short Film Festival and was nominated for best drama award.

With her production company Duffel Films, she’s produced, Stupid Cult, for C4’s Random Acts, broadcast on Channel 4; Hemingways, a finalist in the Soho House, BAFTA, Bombay Sapphire House Shorts' competition, premiered in New York and screened internationally in Soho House Cinemas, and Meeting In Progress which premiered at London’s International Sci-Fi Film Festival. With Shudder Film, she produced The Perimeter Fence funded by NFM and UKFC, premiered at London Short Film Festival, and was Development Producer on their recently shot horror feature Await Further Instructions.
