Alan Fletcher is an experienced corporate lawyer and a founder partner of Square One Law. As well as being qualified in both Scottish and English law Alan also qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen before working for Ernst & Young in Newcastle.

Alan’s professional involvement in the film industry includes working with Harrigan Limited on the raising finance for the production of HARRIGAN (Tall Tree Pictures) as well as advising on all production related agreements. In the last two years he has also advised on almost 50 EIS or SEIS fundraisings for film, TV or theatre productions.

During almost 20 years in professional practice Alan has been responsible for the provision of the whole range of corporate and commercial services, including M&A, refinancing, IPOs, joint ventures, not for profit, corporate governance and company secretarial matters.

Prior to this Alan was a partner with Eversheds for over six years, firstly as head of the corporate team in Newcastle and latterly as senior office partner of the Edinburgh office which was opened in Spring 2009. He previously spent some time on secondment with the Scottish Football Association where he worked on the establishment of the Scottish Premier League and the redevelopment of Hampden Park.

Alan is non-executive vice chairman of security company The Protector Group Limited; a director of Mercer Street Marketing and Consulting Limited; a director of Echo Association Management and Events; director of Mercer Street Technologies; a founder and director of Point Blank Cold Brew Coffee Company Limited; chair of Tall Tree Pictures Limited and chair of the audit committee of The Sage Gateshead.
