Lost in the Woods: New Narratives in Twin Peaks

Thursday 26 February 2015 // Star and Shadow Cinema, Newcastle // 6:30pm - 10:30pm // £6, book in advance

Featuring a screening of Lynch's Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992), Lost in the Woods is evening of performance, film and discussion, exploring how new narratives can be created and interwoven into pre-existing landscapes in film and television.

Kicking off with a food buffet and Toby Phips Lloyd's performance Wet Your Whistle: A guide to drinking in Twin Peaks (2014), the screening will be followed by a panel discussion in which Lloyd will be joined by co-editor of the pop culture, TV and Cinema blog Clarissa Explains F*ck All, Amy Roberts, and film writer and Lynch-lover Cayley James.

The panel will explore how artists, writers and filmmakers have taken inspiration from both real life and fictional sources in their work. The conversation will also attempt to re-evaluate Lynch's poorly-received prequel to the popular television series, given that Lynch is currently working on the highly anticipated third series of Twin Peaks.

When: Thursday 26 February 2015, 6:30pm - 10:30pm.

Where: Star and Shadow Cinema, Stepney Bank, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, NE1 2NP.
