Sally has worked on successful crowdfunding campaigns, bringing on-board partners, corresponding individually with backers and identifying and connecting to potential audiences. She has experience of working with national film critics and managed SOUND IT OUT’s theatrical release, dealing directly with cinema programmers, negotiating box splits, organising the logistics of supporting events (live bands, DJs) and connecting with audiences in cities where SOUND IT OUT screened.
When SOUND IT OUT got into SxSW for its world premiere Sally devised a grassroots marketing campaign to promote the film and through a connection at Crosley Radio the SOUND IT OUT mobile jukebox was born. As well as being spotted on the streets of Austin, Sally and the jukebox made a brief appearance in the opening titles of The Culture Show (BBC).
She is currently working with Jeanie Finlay on developing an audience and distribution strategy for ORION: The Man Who Would Be King and sister project #IAmOrion, a wraparound artwork to support the film.
