Originally from Romania, Adina accumulated industry experience writing for 2 TV shows before relocating to the UK for postgraduate studies. She graduated from the London Film School (MA Filmmaking) in 2012 with Outland, a Sci-Fi short that screened in a variety of international film festivals including Encounters, Leuven ISFF and Phoenix Comicon.
Adina's following project, The Gender Reassignment Musical was selected for development and consequently won the “Best Pitch Award” during the 2013 edition of the European Short Pitch.
Recently completed, my new Sci-Fi short, Terminally Happy, represented the UK at the 2014 EuroConnection co-production market in Clermont-Ferrand, then received further development support through the Berlinale Short Film Station. Its realization was made possible through Film London’s London Calling scheme, in co-production with Vestnorsk Filmsenter from Norway.
January 2015 will see the theatrical release of Just My Type, a 3D short I directed last year in Latvia, showcasing Riga as the 2014 European Capital of Culture.
