Originally from Romania, Adina accumulated a couple of years of industry experience writing for 2 TV shows before relocating to the UK for her postgraduate studies.
Adina graduated from the London Film School (MA Filmmaking) in 2012 with Outland, a Sci-Fi short that screened in a variety of international film festivals including Encounters, Leuven ISFF and Phoenix Comicon.
Her following project, The Gender Reassignment Musical was selected for development and consequently won the “Best Pitch Award” during the 2013 edition of the European Short Pitch.
She completed, her Sci-Fi short, Terminally Happy, represented the UK at the 2014 EuroConnection co-production market in Clermont-Ferrand, which received further development support through the Berlinale Short Film Station. Its realization was made possible through Film London’s London Calling scheme, in co-production with Vestnorsk Filmsenter from Norway.
January 2015 will see the theatrical release of Just My Type, a 3D short I directed last year in Latvia, showcasing Riga as the 2014 European Capital of Culture.
