Guest speaker Katie McCullough from Festival Formula will outline the traditional life cycle of the short film, flag up key festivals and how you choose which one is right for your work. Katie will also go through how to approach a festival and what materials you should bring. This will be followed by a talk from Peter Taylor, Director of the Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival and programme advisor for International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) who will outline how film festivals approach programming new work and how artists and filmmakers can get on their radar.

Peter Taylor, Director, Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival

Peter Taylor is the Director of Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival and a programme advisor for International Film Festival Rotterdam. Other recent activities include curating programmes for PLASTIK, Ireland’s festival for artists’ moving image and Opacities, a series of screenings and discursive workshops co-curated with Kathryn Elkin for Collective Gallery, Edinburgh.
